In the southwestern highlands, near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, live the Batwa, often called “the forest people.” Traditionally hunter-gatherers, the Batwa have a deep spiritual connection with the forest and its wildlife.
Through Batwa cultural trails, visitors can experience their ancient hunting techniques, fire-making skills, and traditional dances, gaining insight into one of the oldest surviving cultures in Africa.
